La Ventana is a semi-annual journal of multidisciplinary character of the University Centre of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guadalajara, corresponding to the Centre of Gender Studies.

Scope and focus

The journal’s purpose is it to investigate the relation and the evolution of the female condition and the male condition. It strives to identify the functions and the real agreements on any rhetoric about the gender, whether the agreements are originated in the powers, the individuals or the groups.

The journal is open to receive contributions in Spanish from professors, academics, researchers, students and professionals of the gender studies that contribute to the diffusion of proposals, analysis, reflections or experiences aiming at the expansion, the comprehension and the improvement of those studies. The journal is edited and financed by the University of Guadalajara.
