The cesión de derechos (transfer of rights) is required for the publication of any manuscript without exceptions.
  6. The guidelines and recommendations about the use of not gender biased language in the collaboration proposals must be read in the following Non-sexist Language Guidelines for Article Proposals in the Revista de Estudios de Género, La ventana.

ON THE SUBMISSION OF ORIGINALS:

  1. The contributions have to be submitted by Open Journal Systema (OJS), a process for which the author has to register on the same website (http://www.revistascientificas.udg.mx/index.php/LV).

The extent of the works for the section ”Teoría” is up to 30 pages (no more than 10,000 words including titles, abstracts, keywords, bibliography, notes, tables and graphics); for ”Avances del trabajo” up to 20 pages (no more than 7,000 words including titles, abstracts, keywords, bibliography, notes, tables and graphics); and for “En la mira” (reviews, opinions, miscellaneous comments), up to 5 pages (1,750 words). 3. The contributions, when accepted, must include the following information: title, complete name of the author/s without hyphens between the last names (except the cases in which it is required). When it comes to articles in co-authorship, you should specify the order in which they shall appear in the publication (first author, second, third, and so on, successively in the order of importance). It is necessary to fill in the corresponding data in the metadata in the submission form, as well as to specify the telephone number, e-mail and complete address where you can receive correspondence.

Abstracts translated by software tools (e.g. Google Translate) will not be accepted, but only well translated texts which comply with the grammatical, orthographical and lexical rules in Spanish and English. (Please see a description of each Journal section under "Manuscript Submission Checklist - point 9) Both categories have to point out the following parts: problems, theoretical lines of approach, implemented methodology, results and main conclusions. These elements have a direct effect on the impact factor of every single of the articles (and of the journal), this is why they should be worked out conscientiously. Moreover, the key words and palabras clave have to be registered in the corresponding format at the moment of submission.

These files have to be submitted in their editable version, correctly numbered, with title and source where necessary, as well as the indication of place in the text where the illustration should appear. The illustrations have to be in the format .jpg or .tiff with a minimum of 300 ppi. Note: in this section there may not be uploaded the curriculum vitae for any reason. If you do so, you may be excluded from the process.

ON THE CRITICAL APPARATUS

  1. The bibliographic references will be placed in parentheses within the work. The complete information of the references is only given in the bibliography. The reference within the text limits to the paternal last name, the year of edition and, following a colon, the page or pages; for example: (Borja 1997, p. 2).
  2. The text citations that are larger than three lines (more than 40 words) have to be double spaced and count with indentation. If the citation is shorter than three lines, it appears within the text between quotation marks.
  3. The bibliography must be presented in alphabetical and chronological order (when it comes to different materials which have a common authorship, then name first the oldest work, followed by the subsequent). The references must follow the APA style as shown in the examples below:
