Características deseables de los métodos de barrera para prácticas sexuales entre personas con vulva
Resumen
Las prácticas sexuales entre personas con vulva conllevan riesgos de infecciones de transmisión sexual. Sin embargo, son pocas las personas que conocen los métodos de barrera disponibles para prevenirlas y aún menos quienes los utilizan debido a las limitaciones percibidas en su uso o en el acceso a los mismos. Por lo tanto, resulta necesario conocer las características deseables de tales métodos a través de la perspectiva de personas que pertenecen a esta población. Para ello, se realizó una investigación exploratoria-descriptiva, transversal, de corte cualitativo mediante 20 entrevistas en profundidad a residentes de Rosario y la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Los resultados permiten considerar una serie de atributos valorados por las personas participantes como el material del dispositivo (tamaño y grosor), su utilidad tanto para prácticas coitales como no coitales, el no corrimiento del producto, la accesibilidad y distribución. Estas características proporcionarían al dispositivo un valor diferencial con respecto a los métodos disponibles actualmente, permitiendo incrementar su aceptabilidad.Descargas
